WebJan 25, 2024 · The six string - L-999 legacy was the top of the range - very much hand built (as one can see from the maple binding) with a cedar top and laminated mahogany inside/rosewood outside back and sides. Fretboards and bridge of true ebony and the brass nut and saddle added treble to the tone. WebThis model L-999 is pretty rare and was the top of the Legacy line. Extremely high build quality as you would expect from the Yamaki factory. Plays and sounds great with a nice warm sound and very comfortable smaller body size that has a large lower bout and smaller sort of OO size upper bout. Brass nut and saddle make for a unique tonal quality.
