WebSep 3, 2024 · A power stress test reliably fails. The failure is always preceded by the fans racing up and the cpu temp hitting about 85 degrees celcius. So the way I see it there is either a cooling problem, a driver/bios problem where throttling isnt working properly, or a power supply problem. Let it run like that for a while, if it shuts off again then it's a dead PSU, if it does not then it could be a mother board issue, or it could be that the PSU isn't being stressed enough to duplicate the symptoms.
