There are only a few birthsigns worth picking in this game. Warrior, Lady, Mage, and Thief. The argument can be made that Atronach is a good sign if you make a purely non-magic character, but in my opinion that would make the game pretty boring. Magic is the most fun part IMO.
WebSpellsword is like a battlemage build, where you focus with onehanded weapons and conjuration. Now i dont know how good is this build in oblivion, but the way it should work is that you use bound weapons ( one handed blades mostly) to do damage, while you sit behind your summons so they soak the damage.
